Karie Kaufman

Karie's Certifications:

  • RYT200
  • Certified Nutrition Consultant

Yoga is a natural progression for Karie having danced as a child for 14 yrs. She first came to the mat in Ireland (2002) and has since practiced in several countries including Japan where she was certified in ISHTA Yoga and Yin Yoga. As Karie began to explore her mind/body connection she came to realize the importance of nurturing the body as well as the soul. This realization led her to pursue a certification in Nutrition, believing that the foods we put into our body can have a healing effect on our overall well-being.

Karie identifies her practice most closely with Karma Yoga, the yoga of service. Her dream is to return to Thailand to help educate young children. In addition to teaching yoga, she works as a Special Education Paraeducator in the Hampstead School District. Her personal yoga philosophy adopted from Master Swami Sivanandaji: Just be good and do good!
